Spice Box

In recreating these recipes, I used whole dried spices from The Spice House, and ground them as I needed them.


 

Whole Dry Spices

  • Ceylon True Cinnamon
  • Dried Ginger
  • Nutmeg
  • Cloves
  • Mace Blades
  • Green Cardamom seeds
  • Pepper
  • Rosemary (fresh from the garden)
  • Saffron

Using Ceylon cinnamon will result in radically different taste than using modern cinnamon. It is well worth the effort to find it for these recipes, especially 132: A Cinnamon Tart

Rose Water
